The NUPED – Center for Research in Public Policy and Human Development at PUCPR is a research center linked to the Masters and Doctorate Programs in Law of the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná at Curitiba, Brazil, registered in the CNPq (the Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development) Directory (http://dgp.cnpq.br/dgp/mirrorgroup/6516505228124227). Founded in 2014 by Professors Daniel Wunder Hachem, Emerson Gabardo and Luiz Alberto Blanchet, currently it also counts on the participation of Professor Vivian Lima López Valle. The center is dedicated to conducting research related to the role of Public Administration in the Welfare State, focusing on themes such as the creation, implementation and control of public policies, the promotion of social rights and human development, the provision of public services, state intervention in the economic domain and Digital Public Law.

The research projects developed by the center have the participation of foreign visiting professors, professors from the PUCPR Law School, postdoctoral, doctoral, masters and undergraduate researchers. In addition, the center develops network research at the national and international level, through REDAS – Research Network on Social Administrative Law and REDOEDA – Red Docente Eurolatinoamericana de Derecho Administrativo.
